Project EDDIE FMN Application
Spring 2023 Project EDDIE Faculty Mentoring Network Application

The Project EDDIE(http://projecteddie.org) is excited to continue collaborating with BioQUEST/QUBES (http://qubeshub.org) to work with faculty who are interested in adapting and implementing new teaching modules from a wide range of environmental related topics. Participating educators are encouraged to mix and match parts of modules and customize them for use in their classrooms.

Benefits of Participation:
1. Support for further development of pedagogical material focused on teaching quantitative reasoning and scientific concepts with data in the classroom

2. Classroom ready modules: Leave this FMN with several data-driven activities that have been tested, adapted, and implemented in multiple classroom settings.

3. Access to peer mentors on effective pedagogical tips and strategies in small group virtual meetings every two weeks for the length of the FMN

4. Contributor: Participants will author a reflective instructor story about their experience adapting and implementing and EDDIE module

5. A Letter and Certificate of Completion issued by Project EDDIE for your professional portfolio that can be sent directly to your institution

Participants Commit to:
1. Adapt and implement one EDDIE module into one lab period (or equivalent, e.g., 2/3 lecture periods) in their Spring 2023 course.
2. Write a reflective instructor story to share their experience about adopting an EDDIE module with the EDDIE and broader communities.
3. Submit any modified EDDIE module materials that were created for implementation
4. Participate in biweekly 1hr virtual sessions to collaborate with and support others in the network and receive mentoring. (Dates and times wills be determined by participant schedules)
5. Spend additional time outside of these discussions to adapt, implement, and review teaching materials
