1. The Participant acknowledges that there can be certain risks of injury to them of third parties associated with their participation in the selected activities carried out at ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’.2. The Participant understands that skills, techniques, positions, manoeuvres, behaviours, ways of approaching and responding to events and mindsets (hereafter referred to as ‘practice’) that are intended to be used when defending themselves or others from immediate threats of physical harm. These practices are taught with the intention that they will be used reasonably and lawfully either during training or otherwise. Practices taught include, for example, risky activities such as (but not limited to) rolls, throws, trips, chokeholds, joint manipulations and eye gouges. 3. The Participant is aware that various items of equipment, that may pose risks to the safety of them self, and others associated with training (including staff and spectators) are used, including, but not limited to, sticks, bars, training knives, training guns, chairs, and any other items that may be used in everyday situations to assault a person. 4. The participant acknowledges that instructors training styles and supervision varies and that the Participant must use their own judgement when determining whether the supervision and instructions provided are adequate and safe for myself and others to follow when training. The Participant must take responsibility to notify the instructor and immediately withdraw from training if he/she becomes concerned about the activities being undertaken that may pose a risk to myself or others. 5. The Participant knows that ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’ staff are not medical practitioners and cannot provide advice as medical practitioners. 6. The Participant knows that they should seek medical advice from a medical practitioner before participating in selected activities. 7. The participant is aware that certain medical problems may arise if they undertake and participate in the selected activities without obtaining advice from a medical practitioner beforehand. 8. Personal property is solely the responsibility of the owner whilst at ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’. No responsibility will be taken.9. The Participant agrees to participate in the chosen activities at their own risk and responsibility.10. The Participant agrees that they will abide by the gym rules for participating in various activities on the site of ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’.11. I agree that this agreement shall apply to my participation in any, and all ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’ activities and programs. This agreement shall apply to all my future visits to ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’.12. I assume all risk and responsibility of any injury arising from my participation in the selected activities at ‘United Fitness and Self Defence’. *

I HERBY AGREE to exclude United Fitness & Self Defence Pty Ltd, its instructors, staff members, students and anyone else associated with United Fitness & Self Defence Pty Ltd activities in any way whatever from liability from:-Any of the provisions of Subdivision B of Division 1 of Part 3-2 of the Australian Consumer Law contained in Schedule 2 of the Australian Competition and Consumer Act 2010; ori. Death; orii. A physical or mental injury of an individual (including the aggravation, acceleration or recurrence of such an injury of the individual); oriii. The contraction, aggravation or acceleration of a disease of an individual; oriv. The coming into existence, the aggravation, acceleration or recurrence of any other condition, circumstances, occurrences, activities, form of behaviour, cause of conduct or state of affairs in relation to an individual. *

Fees are to be paid via direct debit ( all direct debit payments are to be made through Ezidebit and additional fees may occur ) or ten trip pass paid in advance otherwise the casual fee of $30 per session will apply. *

Missed payments: Any payments that are missed for any reason must be paid in full before training can continue. *

Uniform: Members are expected to wear correct uniform and appropriate safety equipment during training. Uniform, IKMF WHITE T-Shirt & IKMF STUDENT PANTS OR SHORTS Protective equipment including but not limited to: Groin guard, shin guards, mma gloves, mouth guard, hand protectors, head gear, body protectors. *

Footwear: Members are expected to wear appropriate flat soled shoes during training on soft mats that won't damage the mats. *

Hygiene:  Please ensure you have showered and wearing clean training uniform prior to training. Please also ensure your nails are clipped short for the safety of others. *

Consent: Self Defence training requires person on person contact. 'United Fitness & Self Defence Ltd Pty' will never ask any participant to practise any techniques which they feel uncomfortable doing. It is up to the participant to advise their instructor and/or training partner of any techniques they do not want to perform for whatever reason. *

United Fitness & Self Defence Pty Ltd accept NO RESPONSIBILITY if you cause injury to anyone else for any reason inside or outside of classes. *

Respect : The participant agrees to respect their training partner at all times and to work at a level comfortable for all participants training together. *

Reducing number of classes: If you would like to reduce the number of classes you attend per week you must give 4 weeks notice for us to do so and notice is given in writing via email to unitedfitnessandselfdefence@outlook.com *

Abusive Behaviour: Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. If we feel you are abusive to staff or other members your membership will be terminated without refund. *

Gradings: Students are expected to grade and will be advised by their instructor when they are ready to do so. Grading cost is $100. IKMF Passport is $50 ( one off fee paid to IKMF Australia) Passport renewal fee is $45 per year, paid to IKMF Australia. P2, P4, G2, G3, G4 & G5 gradings are to be held by an IKMF HQ representative. Expert level gradings are to be held in Israel. *

Cancellation policy: Members can cancel with 4 weeks notice at any time for any reason without cancellation fee. Once a membership has been cancelled a returning member will begin a new membership including new joining fee and possibly higher weekly fee if the fee price has increased since cancellation. *

Club Holidays. There will be no training on Public Holidays. During the Christmas break classes may be reduced or cancelled during this time. Our membership fees and class duration take this into consideration and fees will continue throughout this period. *
