Book Discussion for Ages 8-12                               "How to Write a Story"                                                      Saturday, September 19 at 11 a.m.
Kids ages 8-12 are invited to join us on Zoom as we read and talk about the book How to Write a Story written by Kate Messner and illustrated by Mark Siegel.

Accomplished storytellers Kate Messner and Mark Siegel playfully describe the process of becoming a writer in this fun title which guides young storytellers through the joys and challenges of the writing process. From choosing an idea, to creating a problem for their character to resolve, to coming to The End, this empowering picture book breaks down the writing process in a dynamic and accessible way, encouraging kids to explore their own creativity-and share their stories with others!

After reading the book, we’ll work as a group to come up with our own story. It is preferable if children read the story before the discussion but not required. E-book copies of this title can be checked out using your library card at hoopladigital.com

Registration is required. Once you register, instructions and a Zoom link will be emailed to you.
