Join us at the Rapid Response Network, a community of dedicated volunteers who work together to rescue, transport, and provide sanctuary to roosters seized from cockfighting busts. When you join our network, you'll join a supportive community of like-minded individuals who spring into action when roosters need us.

Whether you're an experienced animal rescuer or just looking to get involved and make a difference, we welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels. We provide comprehensive training and support for all our volunteers so that you can feel confident and prepared for your role.

What role are you interested in?

Placement Volunteer: The Placement Volunteer finds homes for rescued roosters and hens from within a vetted list of sanctuaries and rescue organizations. They work closely with the Dispatch Volunteer to coordinate transportation and logistics.

Dispatch Volunteer: The Dispatch Volunteer is the backbone of the transportation effort, scheduling pick-up and drop-off dates for the roosters, coordinating with local organizations and groups (Helping Partners) to borrow carriers for transport, mapping out efficient routes for the transport drivers, monitoring their progress, and keeping a detailed record of the entire transport process.

Volunteer Transport Driver: The Volunteer Transport Drivers take on the responsibility of picking up the roosters and bringing them to their new home(s), following the routes and schedules provided by Dispatch, and handling the roosters with care.

Crowdfunding Volunteer: The Crowdfunding Volunteer helps to raise the necessary funds to cover the cost of the rescue and transport of the roosters. They spread the word through social media, reach out to potential supporters, and keep everyone updated on the progress of their fundraising efforts.

Helping Partner: A Helping Partner supports logistics, volunteers, and the rescue itself through other means, wether lending carriers for the rescue to take place, or sharing our links on social media, a Helping Parner supports the Rapid Response Network.

Sanctuaries: Sanctuaries agree to be contacted about rooster rescues and to offer space when available to roosters and hens. Sanctuaries may also help in other ways, offering resources and local contacts, or aiding in the transport.
