Questions For a Study on Social Studies Standards Committees
We are recruiting participants for a study of social studies professionals (K-12 teachers, teacher educators, and state social studies specialists) who have been involved in writing and/or consulting on U.S. state social studies standards any time since 2013 (when the C3 Framework was released). We are interested in learning more about the experiences of social studies professionals in enacting or facing barriers to change through work on state standards. Note: At this time, we are NOT looking for participants who only engaged in public comment after standards were completed.

In any potential reports from this study, for confidentiality, you will be assigned a pseudonym and your comments will not be directly linked to your specific state.

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a 5-10 minute questionnaire about your background and participate in a 45-60 minute interview over Zoom. Participation is voluntary. You will receive a $10 Amazon gift card for participating.

If you are interested in being considered as a participant in the study, please complete the following questions. Contact us at the email addresses below if you have any questions.

Thank you!
