Meeting Professionals International Middle PA (MPIMP) is a chapter for bringing event meeting planners and suppliers together. MPIMP understands that when people meet face-to-face, it empowers them to stand shoulder-to-shoulder. That’s why we lead Central Pennsylvania (and surrounding areas) in professional development that advances the meeting and event industry and the careers of the people in it. We connect the connectors so you can produce experiences that inspire, educate, and energize.
Purpose:
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) leads the meeting industry by serving the diverse needs of all people with a direct interest in the outcome of meetings, educating and preparing members for both their changing roles and validating relevant knowledge and skills, as well as demonstrating a commitment to excellence in meetings. Becoming a speaker or facilitator for the MPI Middle Pennsylvania Chapter is an excellent way to share your industry expertise, take an active role in our industry association and gain points for the CMP/CMM applications. First consideration will be given to Chapter members.
The MPIMP Education Committee is looking for speakers/facilitators to participate Monthly Professional Education Programs:
o These are typically 60-minute programs in the morning, afternoon, or evening.
o Educational presentations need to focus on specific skills and knowledge required of the meeting professional.
o The presentation should have clear learner outcomes and indicate the skill level for the attendee. (The committee is looking to find a balance of programs for the variety of experience levels of our membership.)
o Interactive learning activities and audio-visual aides that revolve around a topic are encouraged. Session handouts are encouraged.
Please Note: Presenting at MPIMP provides a unique marketing opportunity, however presentations must NOT be a sales pitch for your services or company. Speakers can display promotional materials at the back of the session room and may market their service s during the social networking. All presenters must understand they may be photographed for the MPIMP and Social Media Websites.

MPI Middle PA budgets between $500 and $1500 for event speakers depending on topic, speaker experience, etc. Attendance at educational events is typically between 50-75 people.
As the speaker, you will receive 1 complimentary registration for the event, including lunch/reception ticket.
RFPs will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the calendar year.
