2023 Summer Reading Program Registration
Register for MCPL's Summer Reading Program, with activities scheduled for June 5-June 30!

Please read all instructions carefully before submitting this form to make sure you are properly registered!

Include as much information as possible on your registration. We must be able to contact registrant, so a phone number or email address is required.

Please check your information carefully for accuracy before submitting this form! Spelling errors and typos may result in your registration not being completed properly.

You must submit a separate registration for each person who plans to participate in Summer Reading 2023, regardless of age. You will receive a confirmation message once this form has been submitted, along with a link to submit additional registrations.

Please do not include multiple participants on a single form.

If you prefer not to register online, you may stop in either library branch to sign up in person. However, please make sure you register each participant only once. If you have already signed up in the library, you do not need to register online and vice versa. Multiple registrations may result in information not being properly assigned.

In-person Summer Reading activities for children and teens will be held at the following dates and locations:
  • Storytime (18 mo.-5 yrs.) - 10 a.m. on Tuesdays (Greenville) and Thursdays (Central City)
  • K-2nd grade - 1 p.m. on Tuesdays (Greenville) and Thursdays (Central City)
  • 3rd-5th grade - 10 a.m. on Mondays* (Greenville) and Fridays (Central City)
  • Teens - 3 p.m. on Mondays* (Greenville) and 4 p.m. on Thursdays (Central City)
* The library will be closed on Monday, June 19. Programs scheduled for this date will be moved to Wednesday, June 21.

There will also be a few other special activities for each age group throughout the month. More details of these programs will be available in the library, on our website and on social media.

In addition to our activities, we are also encouraging participants to keep track of their reading and work toward age-appropriate reading goals during the Summer Reading Program. You may begin tracking your reading any time after registering and continue through the end of the program on June 30. We will be offering paper reading logs to track your reading during the program, which may be picked up at either library branch.

We also offer an online tracking option, Reader Zone, which will be available beginning June 1. To track your reading with Reader Zone, visit readerzone.com or download the app. You will be asked to enter our unique program code (7d641) to join our program.

Please note: joining Reader Zone does not automatically register you for Summer Reading! You MUST register for the Summer Reading Program, either here on this form or in person at either library branch, for your Reader Zone progress to be counted!

Contact us by phone at 270-338-4760 or by using the form at http://www.mcplib.org/contact if you have questions about the Summer Reading program.
