CFA Level I Study Groups - November 2022 Exams
Thank you for expressing interest in joining a local study group. The form below will aggregate your information into a spreadsheet that can be accessed at the link below. This data will be removed on November 30, 2022. CFA Society Minnesota does not play an active role in the study groups but rather works as a resource.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Travis Simon (T.Simon.350@gmail.com). Travis can advise on the study group framework or answer questions regarding the curriculum (to a reasonable extent).

Study Group General Framework

1) Have an agenda and specify what topics you want to cover

2) Assign a set of problems to be completed before the group meets.
--Determine what problem sets attendees have (e.g. Schweser, CFA materials only)
***Everyone will have CFA materials
--Once you know what everyone has for materials you can ask that everyone completes a list of problems, or you can have individuals specialize and present

3) Choose the proper venue.
--Venue is important to me because public places can create several distractions.
--The level III study group I was in met at the library in downtown, and we reserved rooms.  The rooms provided an isolated, controlled environment.

4) Study group dynamics can vary a great deal.  Larger groups will tend to require a leader to stay on task, while smaller groups can organically shift from topic to topic.
