Prerequisites:
No previous experience with Premiere Pro required. You *do* need to be a confident computer user with an understanding of files and folders.
This workshop is designed for people with little or no experience using Premiere Pro, the industry standard video editing software. We will cover:
- Organising your files, understanding relative file paths
- Creating and saving a new project
- The project screen
- Importing media
- Adding and managing media on your time line
- Synching audio
- Trimming/cutting files
- Increasing volume and basic noise reduction
- Simple audio and video transitions
- Adding simple text/titles
- Exporting your finished projects
If you would like to work along, you will need to bring your own laptop with Premiere Pro installed. There is a 7-day trial available, you will need to determine the suitability of your computer for Premiere Pro.
If you do not have your own computer with Premiere Pro installed, you will have limited opportunities to practice with a shared computer.
Sample files will be provided - please bring a USB flash drive to have the files copied on to.
