Youth Antiracist Leadership Academy (YALA)  -                    a program of Youth At The Center
YALA combines leadership development & identity development for students in grades 10-12. Through experiential group activities and reflection exercises, participants will explore the history of racism & community organizing and identify ways to be a leader for justice & liberation.

YALA will take place over 8 Saturdays during April & May from Noon - 2pm each day.

Meals will be provided for in-person sessions. Participants who regularly attend the sessions and complete the community project will be eligible to receive a stipend. YALA participants will also have an opportunity to attend our Civil Rights Trail tour scheduled for the week of June 13-17.
