Short Circuit - Equality Monitoring Form
Equalities Diversity and Inclusion are at the heart of our practice and positively celebrated. We seek to ensure that no-one receives less favourable treatment on grounds of their background and personal characteristics. In order to ensure that this policy will be carried out, and for no other reason, applicants are invited to complete this form. The information will be used solely for monitoring purposes and will be kept in the strictest confidence. We include questions on age, gender, ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation – all defined ‘protected characteristics’ in The Equality Act 2010. We also include a question on Gaelic language.

We require every team or individual applicant to complete this Equality Monitoring Form for each application made. The data that applicants submit using this form is confidential and anonymous. It will be kept separately from the information provided in your funding application and processed by Short Circuit staff who are independent of the funding decision process. Short Circuit does not consider it when assessing individual applications.

'Prefer not to say' option is included in each category, so that applicants can select this if they would rather not provide a specific answer, but we urge you to complete the form as fully as possible. Information gathered from these forms will be used to generate statistics about the overall profile of applicants to Short Circuit and to ensure that Short Circuit's policies and processes are being applied fairly. Every completed form we receive enables us to gain a better picture of the industry and the impact of our funding within it, so we thank you in advance for taking the time to complete it.

The Equalities Monitoring Form is anonymous and will, on receipt, be processed separately from your application. The data is managed confidentially, is not personally attributable, will have no bearing on your application and is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
