(1) First Impressions & Life Lessons with God

Join us for this two part class as we explore two ways God has made an impact on His people and what we can learn from it.

Part One - First Impressions
"You only have one chance to make a first impression." This quote emphasizes the importance of the initial thirty seconds when meeting somebody for the first time. A first impression can make a critical difference in establishing the tone for our relationships, whether professional or interpersonal. But what about spiritual relationships: how does God leave first impressions? Which of His qualities does He demonstrate when a person encounters Him for the first time? How might the previous questions influence us when we try to introduce others to God? In part one of this series we will explore these questions as we study various instances in the Bible in which men and women had their First Impressions with God.

Part Two - Life Lessons
We all learn indelible lessons as we go through life. Better yet, the wise learn from the testimonies of others without going through the pain of those lessons. As we go into part two, let’s hear of lessons that can be gleaned from the lives and situations of some Old Testament characters. Special emphasis will be given to translating situations of old to situations that we can more readily relate to and be able to share about from our own lives.

What does it mean to "know God?"  Does your relationship with God reflect all that He wants it to be?  Does your life reflect the power or bear the fruit described in John 15?

In this class, we will explore what it means to have a relationship with God.   We will start with gaining a clearer understanding of what God wants and then consider how we are to live.

(3) Membership Class

This class will study the basics doctrines of Christianity. The class consists of 4 modules:

    Understanding our salvation
    Knowing God
    Loving God's Church &
    Discipleship & Service

It is for those who are interested in getting baptized into the Christian faith or for those who would like to transfer their membership to CBCM. It is also open to all who would like to grow in their understanding of the basic truths of our faith and our church.
