Thanks for your interest in starting a BioScience Collective Chapter!
If you already have your own Biology Club at your school, you could invite us as a partner for the club, and we could consider the club as a BSC Chapter :))
The benefits of starting a chapter are:
- Access to our repository of quizzes and supplemental materials (still in progress)
- Access to lots of Slides that can be used to effectively present lessons
- Tons of Volunteer Hours!
The benefits of joining a chapter as a member are:
- Certificate for Participation (given if the member participates in STEM-related discussions!)
- Opportunities for learning and tutoring
- Quizzes and Supplemental Materials for practice and reinforcement!
Each chapter needs to have 2 Officers.
- Once you have 2 Officers, create a Google Classroom for your BioScience Chapter and send you can enter the code in this Form!
- Then, please invite 6 other students as members, and we will start sharing our resources with you.
If you have trouble finding members, ask around on social media!
The Responsibilities of being a Chapter Officer are:
- Post the Quizzes and Supplemental Materials that we supply to you (once you have 2 officers and 6 members, we will start sending you our Quizzes and Supplemental Materials)
- We will explain to you how you can get volunteer hours once your Chapter is started.
Once you start a chapter, you will be invited to a Google Classroom, which we will use to tell Chapter Officers more about responsibilities and how to gain volunteer hours.
