FAU College of Science                          Post Baccalaureate Career Changer Program Application
The Career Changer program is right for you if you are changing careers and are lacking the required classes for medical school or any other health professions. This program is designed to provide students with the prerequisite coursework and access to research and shadowing experiences prior to applying to any health professions school. Whether you are right out of college or are seeking to change careers, our post baccalaureate Career Changer Certificate will ensure that you get the preparation and background needed for acceptance into professional programs.

Requirements: 
Bachelor Degree
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Accepted by FAU Undergraduate Admissions (visit www.fau.edu/admissions) 
  • This form should be completed after applying to the University
  • Transcripts must be sent directly from College/University Registrar offices. Follow undergraduate admissions application instructions for submitting transcripts.

 •  To complete the application process for the Career Changer program there is a $50.00 application fee (credit cards payments only). 
Your application will not be processed until the fee is paid.

Purchase “POST-BAC Program – Application Fee”, click “Add To Cart” and then “Checkout” on the next screen. Once payment is completed you will receive an email receipt and your application will be processed. 

 • The uploading fee will be waived for Career Changer candidates if completes the requirement for their Pre-Health Professions Graduate program and receive a committee interview with the Pre-Health office. 

 • In order to maintain your Career Changer status, you must maintain a 3.0 GPA at all times. If your GPA drops below 3.0, you will be categorized as a second bachelor’s student until you are able to bring it up again. 

In addition, the following requirements apply:
 • To utilize the Pre-Health Professions Office: 3.0 GPA
 • To have the Pre-Health Professions Office upload to AMCAS/AACOMAS/Dental/PA/etc.: 3.2 GPA 
• To request a Pre-Health committee interview: 3.5 GPA
