The Latina Foundation is a pioneering 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established to serve as the ultimate resource for Latina empowerment, personal development, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to meet Latinas where they are, providing them with the tools and support they need to flourish. With a focus on three key pillars—community, creative spaces, and fundraising initiatives—we create an environment that nurtures growth, creativity, and success for Latinas across various stages of their journeys.
Our flagship programs include:
- **Austin Latinas Unidas:** A series of workshops led by community volunteer ambassadors, addressing health, financial, cultural, and familial wellness. Annually, nearly 1,000 women, ages 24-50, participate in these enriching sessions.
- **Latina Day Weekend:** A highly anticipated 3-day event featuring workshops, inspiring speakers, a vibrant market, networking opportunities, and interactive activities. With an average attendance of 300-350, it offers one of the most affordable conference experiences in the city.
- **Jefas on the Move:** A startup boot camp designed to help women transform their business ideas from concept to pitch. Participants receive guidance from volunteer coaches, mentors, and experts, culminating in a corporate-sponsored mini-grant and laptop for 6-10 graduates each year.
- **Jefa HQ:** A mobile co-working initiative that utilizes free meeting spaces throughout the city, offering entrepreneurs and creatives a monthly collaborative environment in North Austin, with plans to establish a dedicated space. This program attracts 100-120 attendees annually.
- **House of Chingonas SXSW Experience:** One of the few unofficial Latino events during SXSW, showcasing leading experts in artificial intelligence, media, music, and venture capitalism. This event draws an audience of 400 registered attendees.
The Latina Foundation's programs are made possible through extensive partnerships with financial advisors, social influencers, authors, cultural educators, health and wellness facilitators, and public leaders. Committed to accessibility, our programs are offered at low or no cost, ensuring that every Latina has the opportunity to thrive. Join us in our mission to channel the collective joy, power, healing, and creativity of the Latina community.
