ICDA is proud to announce the adoption of a series of honors and recognitions which will better serve our richly talented, diverse membership. The purpose of the initiative is to honor work being done in every arena by our dedicated members and supporters. ICDA is committed to celebrating the honorees, not only in our organization, but in their communities, our state, and the nation. We aim to raise them up, demonstrating that they are seen and deeply appreciated.

The ICDA Executive Board will select the following honors at the April Board Meeting:
Outstanding Emerging Choral Educator
Outstanding Choral Educator (Elementary/Middle School)
Outstanding Choral Educator (High School/Post Secondary)
Outstanding Church/Community Choral Educator
Outstanding Choral Advocate

The Outstanding ICDA District Choral Educator will be voted on by district members in early May

Outstanding Emerging Choral Educator- this award recognizes individuals with 5 or fewer of experience.

Outstanding Choral Educator (Elementary/Middle School Level)- this award recognizes individuals whose work in programs at the developmental level is exemplary.

Outstanding Choral Educator (High School/Post Secondary)- this award recognizes individuals whose work in their choral program is exemplary.

Outstanding Church/Community Choral Educator- this award recognized individuals whose contributions to the choral art are exemplary

Outstanding Choral Advocate- this award recognizes individuals who have supported the advancement of choral music in our schools, churches, and communities. Honorees may be administrators, boosters, community organizations/leaders, workers, patrons, philanthropists, etc. Our aim is to celebrate the efforts of our dedicated supporters whose work sustains choral activities in Iowa.

Outstanding DISTRICT Choral Educator- this award recognizes and ICDA member from within each District.
