Booking for Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols Service (Sunday 20th December 6.30pm)
This year our carol service will be very different in nature due to Covid-19 restrictions. Unfortunately there can be no "live singing" of carols by the congregation in church. Instead Lisa, Sue and Martin will sing and play carols from the organ gallery so there will be more of a concert feel.

The full church service of lessons and carols will be prerecorded the Friday before and made available online for those who wish to listen (and sing) at home.

Because of COVID-19 we need to limit numbers and follow social distancing requirements. We hope that we will be able to accomodate all who book to attend but if the numbers are too great we can book you a place provisionally but may not be able to guarantee you a space on the day.

Readers and singers will be automatically booked in.

Households can sit together but must be at least 2m from other worshippers and will be directed to their seats by sidespeople. Entry to church will be through the South Door (near the hall - please follow the signs). One church hall toilet will be available for use and the sidespeople will ensure this is cleaned after each use.

All worshippers (except children under the exempted age) will need to wear a face covering to church. Parents are asked to remain with their children within their allocated pew throughout the service. Please note also the lessons and carols service has a calmer, more traditional feel -our online 4pm Christingle service earlier in the day is more geared towards families.

If you wish to join in the service you will need to book using the form below. Please give your name and a contact telephone number which would only be used in the event of a confirmed COVID case if "track and trace" was needed.

Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis - you will be only be notified in person if you are further down the list and we may not be able to accomodate you. Once you have booked you should see a screen notifying you that you are successfully booked in.

Alternatively you can book by contacting the Rector directly on 0121 7302801.

If you arrive at church without booking, you will be asked to wait and only admitted to worship if there is space for you. It is possible you could be turned away.

The currently capacity of the church varies depending on size of household. We can use 28 pews to seat households, and of these 12 are large enough to seat individuals at either end. We are monitoring our capacity and so far we haven't needed to turn anyone away, but this could happen in the case of larger services, in which case the order in which people booked would be taken into account.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms, please stay to not attend church.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

God bless,
Rev Mark
