I’m delighted to extend an invitation to all Day School and Parish children, Kindergarten through 6th grade, to join the Saint Mark’s Choristers! The Choristers is a children’s choir that provides musical leadership once a month, during the school year, for the 10:30am service at Saint Mark’s Church. During our weekly rehearsals, we work together to prepare music to share with the congregation of Saint Mark’s. We also explore music theory, vocal technique, and sight singing; and  delve into the significance of the music we sing.  The only requirements to join are a spirit of cooperation, a love of music, and a commitment to our weekly rehearsals and Sunday leadership schedule.

Wednesday Rehearsal Schedule
Junior Choristers (Kindergarten through 2nd Grade): 3:15-3:45 pm.
Senior Choristers (3rd through 6th Grade): 4:00-5:00 pm.
(no charge for after-school care until rehearsal for Saint Mark’s students who aren’t regularly in daycare)

We will have a social gathering/informational meeting (with food!) for parents and students on Wednesday September 6 at 5 pm. Our first official rehearsal will be on Wednesday, September 13. Choristers will sing for the 10:30 service at Saint Mark’s Church on Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 17, April 28, and June 2; and serve as the “Angel Choir” in the Christmas Pageant at 4 pm on December 24. .
