Making Science a Possibility for Children
**For people wanting to host a Native Scientists workshop.**

Native Scientists workshops connect scientists and children from the Same Migrant Community (SMC). In these workshops, children with a migrant background interact with scientists in their heritage language through a unique, dynamic and hands-on science workshop. They can be hosted in-person or online.

At a Native Scientists workshop, children:
- meet “real” scientists;
- learn new scientific concepts and new vocabulary;
- develop language/multilingual skills.

Native Scientist workshops are especially relevant for ethnic minority and migrant children speaking a home or heritage language that is different from the countrie's dominant language. In this case, workshops are held in the children's heritage language.

Language teachers, members of diaspora communities, embassies, and groups of parents living abroad are common hosts of our workshops. Science teachers are also possible hosts.

Duration and number of children of a Native Scientists workshop:
- In-person workshop: 90 minutes, 12 to 24 children.
- Online workshop: 45 to 90 minutes, 6 to 16 children.

Please use this form to request a workshop.
