Virtual WISSIT 2021 Scholarship Application
We will be awarding a limited number of partial scholarships to educators attending the institute from Title I (or equivalent) schools, community-based learning centers serving underserved communities, and students/interns preparing for a career in education.

The scholarship will cover up to 50% of the regular registration fee, a savings of up to $350. (The regular registration fee is $700.)

The application process has two main steps:
1) Complete the application below.
2) Request a letter of recommendation from your immediate supervisor in support of your application and, if applicable, attesting to Title I status. Have the supervisor send the letter by email to Jim Reese, WISSIT Director, at jim.reese@wis.edu, as soon as possible.

If you are given a scholarship, you will then need to register for Virtual WISSIT using the code Jim will send you.

Notification about scholarships will be made within two weeks of receiving the requested materials.

Scholarship recipients must agree to attend the entire institute from the opening on Monday, August 2, to the closing on Friday, August 6, and will be asked to write a one-page reflection on their experience, to be sent to Jim Reese by Monday, August 30.

Priority will be given to applicants who are coming to Virtual WISSIT as part of a team from a school or organization.
