The Adrian District Library’s Outreach Service provides free monthly delivery of materials to a patron’s home. Most library materials are eligible for this service, including books, magazines, audiobooks and DVDs/Blu-ray discs. Equipment (including Wi-Fi hotspots), puppets and interlibrary loan A/V items are not eligible for monthly delivery. The library’s circulation policy applies to this service; in other words, if you choose to receive DVDs, you will be limited to six (6) DVDs per month.
To be eligible for delivery an individual must:
•
Reside in or own property in the City of Adrian or pay an annual non-resident fee
•
Be a library cardholder in good standing
•
Be homebound for a period of at least four weeks due to:
- Age
- Illness or Injury
- Disability
- Lack of transportation and authorized family/friends who can visit the library on your behalf
In addition, the delivery address must be within Lenawee County.
Delivery may be discontinued or modified for safety reasons or if the purpose of the service is not being met.
If you do not have a current Adrian
District Library card, an application can be brought upon the initial visit. Materials
will be selected to match your interests. Monthly deliveries will be made by an
Adrian District Library staff member or volunteer. If you are unable to
complete an application or if you have any questions about Outreach Services,
contact Jen Wrzesinski at 517-265-2265. You
will be contacted to arrange further details when the application is received.
