Advanced Maths Problem Solving
This online course is taught online by ULMaS Headteacher Damian Haigh. This course is open to year 10 and 11 students who want to improve their skills in solving problems such as those UKMT Challenges and BMOs. We’ll also explore some interesting mathematics topics beyond GCSE and related to A-Level Maths and Further Maths.

There is no charge to take part in this course but priority will be given to students in state funded schools in the Liverpool City Region.

This course will be running every Monday at 4.30pm starting on Monday 13th September 2021.

You will need:
- a quiet place to work at home or school
- a computer or tablet that can join a Zoom meeting (microphone and camera not necessary) [if this is a problem please apply anyway and we'll try to find a way to help]
- to be able to join our Google Classroom (you may need to use a personal Google account for this as your school account may not be able to join our classroom)
- the commitment and time to complete work set outside lessons
- pencil and paper

The course is open to Year 10 and 11 students in schools in Merseyside and the North West.  You will need to provide a contact email address for the school you attend so that we can check who you are and confirm your suitability for a place.  We will let your school know that you are taking part and may occasionally update them on your progress or contact them if we have any concerns.
