Launch Pad Youth Skills and Technology Centre (Launch Pad) is a not-for-profit organization with a vision to create new opportunities for youth to explore their curiosity, discover their interests, and enhance their skills, through programs, partnerships and community engagement. Launch Pad is continuing on our exciting adventure of Neptune Scoops for the summer of 2023. After ice cream expenses and wages are paid, the profits from the ice cream truck will be reinvested back into our after school programs.
This is an exciting role that starts Monday March 13th 2023. As a team, we will meet at Launch Pad on many Thursday nights (Launch Pad can provide transportation support) until opening day, to create the business plan for Neptune Scoops 2023. Each week, you will be contributing to the development of the business plan, marketing plan, and deciding the flavours of ice cream!
Once the ice cream season approaches, this role will transition to operating the ice cream truck and hours will increase.
With guidance and support from Launch Pad’s Social Enterprise Manager, Marketing & Communications Coordinator, and the Executive Director, Launch Pad staff will be your coach, and provide our knowledge and experience to help build on the growth of Neptune Scoops! You will be a part of a large team to make this a success!

Responsibilities
March to May - Be part of the team that designs, builds, and executes the business plan.
Opening Day Thursday May 25th 2023.
Office work ranging from creating and designing content for social media, to balancing financial records, to organizing events and schedules, and more.
June to August - Execute the ice cream truck and its daily operations.
September - Complete a final evaluation of the ice cream truck experience.
