The Iowa Literacy Council in partnership with the Iowa Department of Education is proud to announce the Iowa Adult Education Summer Virtual Conference 2021!  Join us for the virtual conference July 20-22, 2021.  

The conference, titled, Refresh ◆Renew ◆ Refocus, offers a unique opportunity for Iowa to showcase and host over 40 sessions with speakers from across the nation and networking activities for attendees. The three day virtual conference will be an important opportunity to learn about innovative practices in adult education.

The Iowa Literacy Council, an affiliate of Coalition on Adult Basic Education-COABE will begin their new role as a state association and launch at the Iowa Adult Education and Literacy Summer Virtual Conference. Membership is open to all persons and organizations/ institutions engaged in or in support of lifelong learning.

Although we intended to offer a group rate, the conference costs and the capabilities of the payment application have made it challenging to accommodate programs of various sizes. Our flat fee of $45.00 per person includes participants choice to attend two preconference session, summer virtual conference 2021, COABE membership*, and  ILC membership through December, 2022.

*COABE membership is for all Iowa Adult Education and Literacy program staff, instructors, and administrators only.
