REGISTRATION: Trauma-Informed Fire Education  & Journaling Workshop.  March 23-25, 2021
An interactive workshop to integrate trauma-informed perspectives into field and nature journaling practices (writing, sketching, field notes) that will be used to build awareness and understanding of fire on the landscape (prescribed fire and wildfire awareness and action). Brought to you by Butte County Fire Safe Council, Pyrosketchology (Miriam Morrill), Paradise Recreation and Parks District (Scott Amick), and John Muir Laws.  

Event Timing: March 23rd (9am-10:30am PST), 24th (9am-10:30am PST), 25th (3pm-4:30pm PST), 2021

DAY 1: Trauma-Informed Perspectives (Scott Amick) and Fire Risk Education Considerations (Miriam Morrill)

DAY 2:  Introduction to Nature Journaling (John Muir Laws) and Interactive Breakout Groups (Before, During and After Fire) Discuss T-I and Fire Risk Integration and Exercises for Nature Journaling About Fire.

DAY 3: Examples of Nature Journaling Fire Projects and Programs (Miriam Morrill) and Breakout Groups to Discuss and Exchange All Aspects of Nature Journaling Fire and Networking Opportunities.

Zoom Interactive Workshop- Session information will be emailed to selected participants. There have been some glitches to the registration form so if you do not received a response about your selection to the workshop by Mid-February, send and email to Miriam Morrill.

Registration form required by February 26, 2021. Up to 100 participants will be selected to create an interactive learning environment with mixed knowledge, skills, and abilities.
