Sheri Gallegos joined SD Miramar College Women's Water Polo program as the Head Coach in 2019. Prior to her arrival at Miramar College, Gallegos was the Associate Head Coach for the Girl's Water Polo program at Helix Charter High School . Gallegos also was the San Diego State University's Assistant Coach for the Women's Club Water Polo program for the 2018-2019 season. Gallegos also coaches with local club programs and works closely with USA Water Polo and the Olympic Development Program. As a San Diego native, Gallegos brings more than twenty-years experience playing water polo and over ten years experience coaching.

Coach Kate brings over three decades experience playing water polo at a variety of levels. In college she played at the University of California, Berkeley, where the Bears finished runner up to UCLA in the National Women's Collegiate Championships (‘96-98). Internationally, Kate played in New Zealand, at the World Masters Games helping her team win the championship in 2017. Since 2016, Kate has volunteered for Point Loma High School’s aquatic programs, including volunteer coaching and leading the booster club that oversees the boys and girls water polo and swim/dive teams. Earlier experience includes lifeguarding, swim and water aerobics instruction, and working for adaptive programs at UC Berkeley.
Assistant Coach, Reilly Gallagher - rgallagher@sdccd.edu, 916-626-2394
Reilly Gallagher joined the Miramar Jets Women’s Water Polo program in 2021 as an assistant and goalie coach. She also works with Westview High School, Pacific Water Polo Club, and USA Water Polo's Olympic Development Program. Native to Placer County California, Gallagher brings more than ten years experience playing water polo and several years of coaching and refereeing various levels of play. Gallagher attended University of California, San Diego where she earned multiple ACWPC All-American athletic and academic honors and her 530 saves in the net rank ninth all-time in program history. Gallagher also served as a captain and representative on the Triton Athletic Council. Gallagher continued her water polo career and further pursued her education earning distinction with a Masters Degree in Marketing in Durham England.
