Smily Academy - Sustainable Mindset and Inner Level for Youth - is an impact accelerator matching international youth and cutting edge technologies with Indigenous and local communities’ challenges. Indeed, Indigenous People are the 5% of the world population protecting 85% of world biodiversity, so if we want to create sustainable businesses we need to listen to their needs.
The accelerator is a special program of the Indigenous People’s Climate Justice Forum.
The challenge based Smily Experience has the scope to create youth sustainable businesses. It is opened to 40 international under 30 young future entrepreneurs.
The challenges, provided by some of the 97 Assamese Indigenous Peoples' communities, are:
- Droughts, as defined by
the Indigenous managing The Al Gore's Climate Reality Project's India planting 5 million trees in Assam;
- Floods, as defined by the The Forest Man of India Foundation, founded and inspired by Jadav Molai Payeng, the man who planted an entire forest large as 13 soccer fields, in 40 years, and co-founder of the Indigenous Peoples' Climate Justice Foundation;
- Women Empowerment, as defined by Kaziranga Haat and local women cooperatives.
The agenda of the week (March 20-26 2024) is on www.smilyacademy.org and includes:- The arrival at the airport of Jorhat and the experience in Assam, specifically in Jorhat and Kaziranga, one of the worldwide most important biodiversity and wildlife natural park;
- Nr. 4 phases (soul; society; soil; smile) to analyse the challenges; co-design a purpose driven innovation project work; transform the project work into businesses .
After the experience, the mandatory assigment for every single participant aimed to receive the blockchain certificated graduation diploma is to organize and lead a Smily Experience during the next year. For this purpose, Smily Academy will provide:
- A licence;
- A manual with all the information on how does Smily Academy works and its policies;
- The syllabus of the experience;
- The technical assistance for having access to the target countries; indigenous communities; challenges; facilitators; networking;
- A possible budget on the basis of the certified requests for arranging the experience.

Smily Academy India is led by Rituraj Phukan, the President of the Indigenous People’s Climate Justice Forum; Head of Biodiversity of The Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project India and Director of Smily Academy India.
The Smily Experience in India embraces the latest G20 results characterized by the Indian Presidency. Smily Academy will attend the upcoming COP28 in Dubai for promoting the experience.
Entire jungles have been planted in Assam. Smily Academy is planting now a new cooperative human consciousness to protect them and design a new model a a new Conscious Feeders Movement for a better future.
