Section G10 Officer Candidate Submission Form
Please complete the following to submit your desire to run for one of the three available section officer positions. Elections will be held during our Section Conclave on September 16, 2023 at L.E. Phillips Scout Camp. Candidate Submissions must be submitted no later than September 10, 2023.  Communication will follow afterwards.

Officer Candidate Requirements – in order to run for Section Officer, candidate must:

- Be under the age of 21 for the entire term of office (Sept 15, 2023 – Sept 17, 2024)
- Be a registered member of the BSA in good standing in a Lodge and Council within the Section boundaries.
- Obtain in advance written approval from your Lodge Adviser and Scout Executive.

Section Officer Responsibilities:

CHIEF:  Prepares the agenda and presides over meetings of the Council of Chiefs.  Provides leadership and motivation to the Section Vice-Chief and Section Secretary.  Finds suitable candidates for CVC positions and then works with those CVCs in preparation for the Section Conclave.  Provides leadership and motivation at all functions and represents the Section at all Area, Regional and National functions to which he is invited.  Strives to attend as many major Lodge events as possible or coordinates attendance at these activities with the Vice-Chief and Secretary.

VICE-CHIEF:  Provides Section leadership in the absence of the Chief.  Completes assigned tasks as requested by the Chief.  Ensures all Section events are promoted in each of the Lodges of the Section.  Chairs committees as assigned.

SECRETARY:  Provides Section leadership in the absence of the Chief and Vice-Chief.  Takes minutes at all meetings.  Maintains an up-to-date roster of the Council of Chiefs.  Ensures all Section events are promoted in each of the Lodges of the Section.  Prepares the Section Conclave program in a timely manner prior to the event.  Completes assigned tasks as requested by the Chief.  Chairs committees as assigned.
