Petition Summary and background:

Highways England June 2021 public consultation for A12 Chelmsford to A120 Widening shows a new flyover for Easthorpe Road linking Easthorpe Road to the detrunked/old A12 and allowing vehicles to travel both northbound and southbound.  Easthorpe is a village already used as a “rat run” to/from the existing A12, the village cannot sustain the amount of vehicles currently passing through and Highways England state the new proposed layout will result in a large increase in levels of traffic.

Action petitioned for:

We, the undersigned, wholly disagree with the new Easthorpe Road/A12 flyover and would like Easthorpe Road to become a no through road.
