Choose the Next SPS Logo!
Salem Public Schools has always relied on the City seal to represent the district, and currently uses a logo that was created for Destination Salem. It is long overdue for us to establish a unique identity that unites our 11 school communities.

During our core values work, we were able to introduce a set of themes that came directly from our community that offered inspiration to our designer for how we wanted our branding choices to feel.

Using the input from the community, our design partner, Sperling Interactive, narrowed the prospective logo choices down to four.

Now we'd like to hear what YOU think.

Our window for community input will begin on Thursday, December 9th and will run through Friday, December 17th.

We will bring these community insights to the School Committee retreat in January where we will continue to refine our logo and a corresponding tagline for the Salem Public Schools.

We look forward to seeing what the community thinks about these proposed options!

Option 1: The books represent education as our foundation. The path, in the shape of an "S" for Salem, is the pathway to success that leads to graduation.
Option 2: The book is the foundation of what we do. The neutral human figures represent the joy in the different stages that our students attend school that leads to the success of graduation. The 11 stars represent the 11 schools and the different colors represent the diversity of our community.
Option 3: Similar to the qualities in option 2, but the human figures in this logo are on a path, in the shape of a "S" representing the path students take through our district to graduation.
Option 4: Also a slight change from the values in option 2, and the design in option 3, but show multiple pathways instead of just one.
The logo I would rank as my first choice is: *
