Youth Exchange - ECOconsumption
Open call for participants from Serbia, Italy, North Macedonia, Romania, Albania and Türkiye

When: 18 - 26. April 2023. ☘️
Where: Niš, Serbia

Managing environmental sustainability has become a critical challenge and an essential agenda for many different companies, corporations and people themselves. One of the main questions that should be asked is: is it possible to maintain a balance between environmentalism and consumerism in a capitalist society? Consumerism is the idea that increasing the consumption of goods and services purchased in the market is always a desirable goal and that a person's well-being and happiness depend fundamentally on obtaining consumer goods and material possessions. Clearly, that has a significant impact on the environment and ecology.  🌊🌱
  Objectives of our project are: to raise awareness of 30 youngsters about the benefits of recycling and reusing material goods, to broaden participants' knowledge and to introduce the topic of environmental protection and sustainable development; to tackle participants' creativity and their competencies by engaging them in creative, interesting interactive exercises; and, to create an international podcast.

If you :

  •  are 18–26 years old;
  •  know basic English;
  •  are motivated to work in environmental protection;
  •  are interested in organizing local actions;
  •  are open-minded and motivated to take an active part in the whole project;
This is your call! Join us!

Note: The selected participants are obligated to participate in the preparation and follow-up of the project. The preparation consists of research and collecting data for the making of the podcast and the follow-up activity will be a local workshop once the participants come back home.
