Jeb Havens and
Tommy Honton, for a 2-day workshop in support of your overall wellness. The UCSB Graduate Division and Mental Health Task Force are sponsoring a paid skill development opportunity for graduate students to push the boundaries of their creativity.
The paid training will inform students on effective team product design, development, and
deployment, as well as critical reasoning skill building. Additionally, the Mental Health theme of the workshop endeavor to contribute to an inclusive environment for graduate students to uniquely participate and learn in. Both days of the workshop will entail 2 hour sessions (4-6p) where designers [paid $100] will learn to create and test their own escape room. Responsibilities will entail, to ensure payment:
- Attending each day of the workshop
- Work in a team setting to design and build an escape room
- Prepare room for single use during Showcase
The following week, testers [paid $75] will play the rooms during a showcase (occurring during the week of 10/26). Responsibilities will entail, to ensure payment:
- Play a single game (developed on 10/19 & 20th) in a team setting
- Provide feedback to the game designers
