The Georgia Conservation Voters (GCV) Action Fund supports candidates that are committed to addressing climate and environmental issues in Georgia. On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the Georgia of Conservation Voters, thank you for taking the time to fill out our questionnaire.

Climate change and environmental pollution threaten Georgian's access to clean air and clean water, and public health. The environment will be a high priority issue for voters of both parties in 2020. Candidate's positions on protecting public health, building a clean energy future, and addressing climate change will help voters decide how to cast their ballots this election cycle. With a federal government that continues to roll back basic protections for our air and water, it is more critical than ever that candidates down-ballot stand up for environmental values and support climate action.

People living in Georgia's rural areas, low-income communities, and Black and Latino communities are most impacted by the lack of action to address climate and environmental threats. As we design and implement the short- and long-term solutions needed for a more sustainable and just future, we must also address these disparities. In doing so, we can deliver transformational environmental, socially just, economically sound benefits to all people in our state. That's why we support candidates that share our commitment to racial justice and equity.

Georgians are ready to rise to the challenge of climate and expand clean energy. We need elected leaders that we can trust to lead the way. The information you provide in this questionnaire will help us assess the viability of your campaign as well as your support for the environment. GCV Action Fund will also consider questionnaire responses, past environmental records, and candidate viability in making endorsement decisions. Candidates will not be endorsed by GCV Action Fund without satisfactory completion of the questionnaire.
