RSVP BELOW FOR THE STRUGGLE IS FIERCE WORKSHOP ON SATURDAY, JULY 8, 4:00 PM CHROMA SALON in NEW PALTZ, NY

A workshop for trans, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming people.

Community care is self care! Trans, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming people are under fire, more so now than ever. This healing workshop will be a space for TGNCNB people to be in community and build our individual and collective resources as we continue to struggle and fight together.

Using the embodied, dialogic and therapeutic Rainbow of Desire Techniques from the Theatre of the Oppressed arsenal, we invite participants to come together to explore and share their experiences of anti-trans oppression, celebrate the vibrancy and fierceness of our communities and develop creative responses to dismantle anti-trans hate. Participants will play, laugh, discuss and discover in a fun and deeply contemplative workshop experience. More info here.

COVID Considerations

Participants are encouraged to take a COVID test prior to the workshop. Masking is encouraged. We ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID to please stay home. While we may be able to keep some distance from each other, many of these activities will require us to be in close proximity or have some form of physical contact with consent. As such, if your small group participation partner(s) request masks while you complete an activity together then all in the small group are expected to support this request and mask as well.

This workshop is for people who identify as part of the wider trans community (including transgender, trans, nonbinary, gender-nonconforming, genderqueer, agender, cross dressers or in someway gender diverse). Does this describe you? *
