Temple Emmanuel School Registration 2021-2022
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2021/2022 Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield's new Hebrew School year! Temple Emmanuel’s Hebrew School offers an engaging, stimulating and energetic classroom environment where children can embrace their Jewish roots, regardless of their level of observance, affiliation, or prior knowledge; we welcome all learners. Our classes are large enough for engaging group activities, and sufficiently small to provide excellent individual attention. With the involvement of Temple Emmanuel’s Rabbi Greg Hersh and classes led by experienced Jewish educator Brenda Dolan, we are excited to offer the following classes each week from September 2021 through May 202:
· Ages 5-7: A Sunday morning class for children who are getting started with their Jewish education. We will focus on introducing students to basic Jewish prayers, learning the Hebrew language through English and Hebrew songs, and studying the Torah and Jewish Holidays holidays with multi-sensory--themed, creative activities.
· Ages 8-13: Tuesday afternoon for students who are building upon their foundational Jewish education and are interested in becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. We will offer an innovative curriculum of Hebrew instruction focusing on Torah study and discussion, and of course, singing tefillot and other Jewish songs.
· Bar/Bat Mitzvah Age: Students ages 12-13 are encouraged to attend a second class each week with Rabbi Greg Hersh to focus on Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation, including learning to read from the Torah.
The Registration deadline is September 12th, 2021. Please help us plan for the new school year by registering before the deadline!
We look forward to welcoming your family to Temple Emmanuel of Wakefield's Hebrew School for the 2021/2022 year!
