On July 19, 2022, Prof. Duncan Haldane, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2016, will give a public lecture at University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH).

Prof. Duncan Haldane was one of three scientists to be awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize in Physics for "theoretical discoveries of topological state transformations and topological states of matter". They have discovered the mysteries of special matter. They used advanced mathematical methods to study unusual states of matter such as superconductors, superfluids or thin magnetic films.
