Calling all BIPOC, LGBTQ2IA+, and/or disabled youth! Story Theatre's Creator Crew 2023/24 registration is now open! 🎉🎉🎉
Ages 14-19, Sponsored by The Victoria Event Centre!
Story Theatre is a theatre for young audiences company based in Lekwungen and WSANEC territories. Creator Crew is a free program for youth interested in all things arts, and runs from Dec 2023-May 2024!
Registration includes:
- Three online events (Zoom) with a special guest artist line-up below!
- Two in person events with food provided
- Honorarium* for each online event e-transferred to youth for snacks
- A spot on Story Theatre's YOUTH JURY that will convene in May 2024 to select Story Theatre's next cohort of playwrights for Writer's Room! Learn about how arts juries work, Story Theatre's artistic mandate, and choose the TYA shows you want to see made in our future seasons.
*First 8 youth registrants will receive honorariums via e-transfer to their registration email the day of each online event for snacks of their choosing. First come first served!
Facilitated by Story Theatre's Tenyjah Indra McKenna, join our zoom space to hear live interviews with guest professional artists, opportunities for Q&A, and snacks!

Accessibility Information
- Zoom events will have option for auto-captioning service, but we recognize these captions are not always accurate.
- The Victoria Event Centre now has an operating elevator! Elevator is behind the building, and Story Theatre staff will provide access support and signage. Story Theatre is a disability led team and will also be using the elevator.
-The non-accessible entrance to the Victoria Event Centre is located at the Broad St entrance, with steep stairs up to the second floor.
- All gender bathrooms are available at the Victoria Event Centre
- Name tags for name and pronouns are available
- In person events will have quiet/lower sensory areas with some fidgets available, and we welcome youth to bring any fidgets or accessibility devices they need such as headphones, ipads for communication, sunglasses for lower light intake etc.
- Creator Crew is a space that welcomes BIPOC, LGBT2QIA+, disabled, and/or other marginalized youth, and we strive to make this space an anti-racist, queer and trans friendly, accessible environment.
