Welcome to the Bear Festival! With this form you can register for the Bear Sculpting competitions on 2023. A maximum of 30 sculptors will be entered in the competition. In the speed sculpting competition a maximum is 25. Please check out the rules before registration: https://msl.fi/karhufestivaali/in-english/rules/

With this permission, I allow myself to be involved in the video shooting and photography at the Bear Festival 2023. This includes the Bear Festival's own photography and video shooting, as well as potential partners’. The organizers have the right to use the photos and recordings taken in connection with the competition in their communications.

If the participant chooses to use accommodation services in Ilomantsi, the organizer will cover 100 euros per participant for accommodation expenses. Participants will be responsible for booking the accommodation themselves. Information about the accommodation services and booking will be sent to participants.

Safety rules

As a minimum requirement, the competitors must wear cut-resistant trousers and safety footwear, as well as hearing and eye protection. The competitors must bring their own safety equipment to the competition site. The sculptors must ensure that they are fully insured, and they must commit to working in such a manner that takes into account their own safety as well as that of the other competitors and the audience. If a sculptor does not wear the safety equipment referred to in the rules, s/he will be suspended from the competition until the safety equipment standards are met.
