Dance BFA Audition Registration Form - 2021-22
Use this form if you are auditioning to start as a dance major Spring 2021, Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
 
To be accepted into the Department of Dance, candidates have to audition as well as apply for admission to the Sam Houston State University by completing an online application through www.applytexas.org. Candidates are highly recommended to start their application to the University before auditioning.

Please note: Auditions will be conducted virtually until further notice. Once you have registered, you will receive a link to join us for the audition via zoom. We look forward to dancing with all of you in any way we can during these challenging times!

BFA candidates do not need to prepare a solo. The dance faculty will teach ballet and modern movement phrases, followed by either a jazz phrase or an improvisation opportunity.

Students applying for scholarships must complete a general Scholarships4Kats application as soon as they have been accepted to Sam Houston State University. To be considered for University wide scholarships, not just dance scholarships, students should complete their Scholarships4Kats application by the priority deadline, November 1, 2020.
