Submission to the ELC 2024 Pitch Competition

Submissions are now closed, thank you!

Please provide a 400-600 word submission (total) covering the 7 prompts listed in the form below. Remember that your pitch's target audience is community partners, not librarians.

The focus is how your library can support entrepreneurs, local economic development, workforce development, job hunters, nonprofits, and/or small businesses. The ELC is particularly interested in pitches that focus on local equity issues or marginalized populations and communities.

See https://entrelib.org/elcpc2024/ for more information, policies, and resources, including video recordings of ELC "Pitch Perfect" workshops. The recordings of the winning pitches from our past competitions are also available.

To choose the 3 libraries invited to compete in the pitch competition, submissions will be evaluated on these prompts as well as “How much focus is there on local equity issues or a marginalized population and community?” and “How interesting is this submission overall?” In an effort to instill some equity into the competition, small/rural libraries will receive additional points.

The submission deadline is April 12, 2024.
The three pitch finalists will be notified on April 22.

Please email Steve Cramer, smcramer@uncg.edu, with questions. Thank you and good luck!
