Stress Management
Have you been feeling overwhelmed and stressed?  Are you having trouble alleviating your stressors?  This group will help you increase self-awareness, learn practical coping strategies, and learn how to effectively deal with the pressures of life.
Grief and Loss
Have you experienced the loss of someone close to you?  This group is an opportunity to gain support from peers going through similar experiences.  It is an opportunity to learn about and work through your own grieving process while being supported by people who can relate.  We will focus on self-care, making sense of things, moving forward, and coping with the stress of your grief/loss.
Executive Functioning II
Are you someone that struggles to stay on top of your work?  Do you get overwhelmed easily and don’t know how to get started?  This group will help you develop the skills to overcome these challenges. We use these skills every day and throughout our lives.  The purpose of this group is to create awareness and help students develop these skills: Goal-Directed Persistence (increasing perseverance), Flexibility (accepting when things don’t go the way we expect), Metacognition (self-monitoring; knowing what you know), Working Memory (keeping track of information), and Response Inhibition (controlling your impulses).
YOUR SCHEDULE
These groups will be held during MP2, once a week, for six meetings, starting the week of December 6th.  Please indicate which lunch period(s) you have.
