Note that we are only scoring the bird’s breeding occurrence; please do not select “yes” if the species migrates through, winters in, or occasionally visits, but does not breed in, the city.

Please note that many of the species listed below likely DO NOT breed in urban habitats in Thunder Bay (i.e., the answer for many species will be NO).

For this survey, “urban habitats” include urban parks and ponds, and industrial, commercial, residential, and suburban areas within the city limits, in addition to the downtown core, but DO NOT include natural or agricultural areas within the city limits (for example, conservation areas, wildlife preserves, isolated patches of natural habitat, or farmlands).
