In collaboration with the Zinn Education Project, Connecticut Council for Social Studies and the Anti Racist Teaching and Learning Collective, the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance and Abolition will host one day workshop for teachers to explore themes, strategies and primary sources related to teaching Reconstruction. The workshop will support teachers in teaching about Reconstruction in their classrooms and provide access to sources held at Yale University to support their instruction.
The event will take place in Luce Hall on 34 Hillhouse Ave, New Haven, CT 06511 at Yale University from 8:30-3:30pm on November 11th, 2023. Breakfast/Lunch will be provided, along with a $50.00 stipend for travel and parking costs.
