Winter 2023 Program Information
January 7th to February 4th
Saturdays
Shelburne County Arena

Ages 4-5: 10am-10:45am (30 minutes of programming + 15 minutes of free play)
Ages 6-8 :10:30am-11:15am 
Ages 9-12: 11:15am-Noon

The Anthony Gosbee Recreational Hockey program is designed for children to learn the fundamentals of hockey in an enjoyable, and fun environment. Sessions will consist of fun skill based activities followed by a pick-up game at the end of each session. The program is run by the Municipality of Shelburne Recreation and Parks Department with the help of volunteers.

FULL hockey gear is REQUIRED for all participants (see list below).

Parents are encouraged to come on the ice and help out, especially if their child needs help skating. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED for all parents who go on the ice.

Dressing rooms will be available for use. Please arrive early to allow enough time to get your child dressed and on the ice at the appropriate time.

The following gear is required for all participants:
Jock (boys) or Jill (girls)
Pants
Shin Pads
Shoulder Pads
Elbow Pads
Helmet with facemask
Gloves
Skates
Neck Guard-Must be BNQ certified
Stick
Socks
Jersey
Water bottle (labeled with name)
Mouthguard (optional)

Please ensure that all equipment is in good condition and fits properly to prevent injuries. Avoid wearing equipment that is damaged, torn or too big or small.
