Contributhon Cohort 2: Application Form
Contributhon by She Code Africa is a 2months cohort-style Africa wide open source Bootcamp focused on building more women OSS contributors & creating more diversity in the African open source ecosystem.

Accepted participants are paired with experienced and trained individuals within different open source organizations “Mentors” to mentor and give them hands-on experience collaborating and contributing to open source projects by working on selected open source projects while still helping grow the ladies skills during the program.

Upon successful completion of the Bootcamp the mentees are paid a $500 stipend to cover costs accrued during the program and encourage them to keep contributing to open source.

Eligible participants must:
1. Be able to demonstrate prior experience and background knowledge in field of interest
2. Possess a working Laptop and have access to internet connectivity for the full duration of the program
3. Be willing to commit at least an 5 hours a day to program activities
How it Works
Step 1: Indicate interest by confirming eligibility and applying

Step 2: Scale the application process and get an acceptance / rejection mail

Step 3: Upon being accepted and program contract terms signed, you'll be paired with an open source organization
and mentors to work on an assigned project idea

Step 4: Connect with your assigned mentors and team mates

Step 5: Work with your mentors on your assigned project idea for the next 2 months

Step 6: Participate in the project finalization phase assessments of your mentor and program

Step 7: To be eligible for graduation from Contributhon, mentees must:

     1. Publish/Push assigned tasks
     2. Submit your Project Report (technical article)
     3. Submit your program evaluation  
     
Application Duration
We've set in a number of brilliant questions to help us understand your personality, skills and commitment to this program. Our questions may take an estimated 5 - 10 minutes to fill in with most of the time spent on the short essay section.

We advice you take your time and prepare ahead in filling it.
