We are excited to offer you two opportunities to sit for the International Certification Examination in 2024. The first opportunity is March 6, 2024 held in conjunction with the AAO Convocation at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The second opportunity is on September 26, 2024 held in conjunction with the FDM World Congress in Seattle, Washington at the Hilton Motif. Each examination will begin at 8:00 AM and there will be a break for lunch, which will be on your own. We anticipate the examination wrapping up around 4:00 PM. The room of the examination will be provided as we get closer to the date.

What to expect:
A written examination will begin at 8:00 AM. After this has been completed by all participants, a video interpretation will be administered. Videos will be played twice without sound and the distortion best represented in the video will be identified by the participants. Depending on the number of applicants a time will be assigned and the applicant will be expected to return at that time for their practical examination. Practical exam takes between 30 minutes to one hour. Applicant will know the status of their exam prior to the end of the day in most cases.

Requirements to sit for the exam given by AFDMA:

- Complete at least one each of all 3 modules presented by AFDMA approved instructors.
- Practice for at least one year following the completion of the third module.
- Be a member in good standing of AFDMA.
