County Prep Dance Application & Placement Class Appointment

PLACEMENT CLASS - will show us what kind of student you are, what your personal movement style is, how hard you are willing to work physically in class, and your level of experience, so that you may be placed appropriately in the program. There are opportunities for all levels of dancers to grow and be challenged.

We are looking for open-minded, hard-working students who are interested in making dance an important part of their lives during high school.

WEAR - fitted clothing that allows a full range of movement, and which allows instructors to see you. Acceptable clothing includes leotards, tights, leggings, tanktops, close-fitting sweatpants or tshirts. Please put your hair up in a bun or ponytail if you have long hair, and remove all jewelry before class.
*BE PREPARED TO DANCE BAREFOOT*

CLASS - will be a mix of techniques, and may include modern, hiphop, ballet, and improvisation. You will learn exercises and dance sequences and will perform them within the class, alongside other applicants. You do not have to prepare a solo. You may be asked a few questions by the instructor to help get to know you better.

You will receive a confirmation and further instructions the first week of January.

Discuss your interest in dance, and how dance has been a part of your life. Include, if any, your  training, performances, and names of teachers and/or dance studios.
Choose a placement class time below. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and warm up. Wear fitted clothing which allows you to move freely (leotard, tights, unitard, leggings, tank top,etc). No jewelry, long hair must be put up off of the neck. Be prepared to dance barefoot.  You do not need to prepare a solo.
