Volunteer with us to plant a
Pollinator Garden at Austin Creek Elementary School! This hands on experience will give students, families, and the community the opportunity to learn about the importance of pollinators in their area as well as foster a connection to nature.
The event will be taking place on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 10am-12pm. We will be providing all necessary tools, instructions, and a light snack/water. We will be planting approximately 40 native plants at the front of the school, surrounding the marquee sign.
We encourage families to attend! We do do not have an age requirement, but, on that note, we will be using gardening tools to carry out the planting. We will have adult supervision, but young volunteers may be best supported by a guardian attending as well.
This event is made possible by Austin Creek Elementary School administration, Parents Club, and Conservation Works.
Conservation Works is an environmental non profit with a mission to support resource protection and community sustainability in Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties of northern California. Funding for this event was provided by Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District through a Wildlife Conservation Board grant.
This event is being organized by Emma Guzy, a
California Climate Action Corps Fellow serving her term at Conservation Works. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to emma@conservationworksnc.org
*We have limited space for volunteers, so please be sure to fill out this form when you are committed to attending. There will be more information sent out once all volunteers have signed up.*
*IMPORTANT: If you would like to sign up more than one minor, but will not be attending as a guardian, please submit the form independently for each minor. If you are attending as a family/group, you only need to fill out that section of the form once.*
