Machine Learning for Bioinformatics, Cluj-Napoca, October 2019
Dear all,

The Romanian Society for Bioinformatics (www.rsbi.ro) will organize the 6th RoBioinfo Seminar, a workshop on Machine Learning for Bioinformatics, on the 5th and 6th of October, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The workshop will kindly be hosted by Babes-Bolyai University, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The meeting aims to be a 2 day hands-on training workshop (with both theoretical and practical sessions).

In order to register for the event, please fill the form below. Registration fee is €50 for students, €80 for other members of the academia and €120 for everyone else and will cover coffee breaks, lunches and dinner. Payment information will be communicated after the selection process.

We kindly ask you to submit your registration request before September 8, 2019. Based on our previous experience, the number of candidates will be higher than the number of places, so we will not be able to take into consideration requests made after the deadline. Due to the same limited capacity, we will favour attendees that would benefit the most from this workshop and could give back to the scientific community. We advise you to please pay special attention to the questions regarding the impact/benefit of you attending the workshop - these will be the ones used to select participants!

Dinner attendance *
Will you attend the Beer and Science event (on Sunday afternoon)? *
‘Beer and science’ is an informal event, where scientists present a science topic in 5 minutes, in a pub, to their peers, and also to non-scientists. The goal is to promote interdisciplinary talks between specialists in Biology, Medicine, Computer Science and Engineering. We encourage simple and easy to digest presentations. At the end of each presentation, we encourage participants to join in the discussions and ask questions. This is a good opportunity for scientists to discuss their faced issues with the broader community. Discussions between the speaker and public can generate ideas for solving existing problems. Also, it can lead to new research ideas.
By selecting the following box, I hereby confirm that I will be available and attend both days of the Workshop *
