Thanks for being a part of, or interested in, having your child enrolled at Journey Nature School! 

As we look ahead, we want to make sure that we have a clear understanding of who plans to attend in the 2023 Summer Camp as well as the 23-24 School Year. 

Please complete this survey no later than April 30, 2023.

Age Range: 4 years - 9 years , if outside of this age range, please reach out directly to journeynatureschool@gmail.com to discuss possibilities for your child.

Program Style: Preschool Alternative or Homeschool Supplement - based in several child-centered philosophies
Days of Attendance: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Hours in Session: 9:00-3:30pm Full Day, 9:00-12:30pm AM Half
Location: Kirkmont Center Inc - Goodrich Lodge (Home Base), Zanesfield, OH

Teacher to Student Ratio: 1:6 (4-5 year olds), 1: 10-14 (6-9 year olds)

Current Class Section Options: Younger (Adventurers), Older (Explorers) - grouped based on meeting developmental needs with flexibility of transitioning between groups during our time together.

Current Camp Details are as follows: 
  • Tentative Dates (July 10 -13 and/or 17-20) - Monday - Thursday
  • Ages: 5-10 years old
  • Registration Cost: Current JNS Families, $130 - New Families, $160 - Multi-child discount available
  • Hours in Session: 9:30am - 2:30pm 
  • Location: Kirkmont Center Inc, Zanesfield, OH - Homebase, JNS Woods
Description: JNS Summer Camp is a week-long camp experience on the beautiful property of Kirkmont Center. Children work through exploring major questions like, Who Am I? and How Do I Express Myself? as they take hikes, play in ponds, explore expression materials, and observe wildlife.

(Weather permitting swimming experiences in On-Site Swimming Pool with Life Guard supervision)

JNS Advisory Committee Interest
Our JNS Advisory Committee is a group of teachers, parents, and local early childhood/educational professionals who volunteer time to meet about 1x every 2 months. This committee is essential to our programming as it serves as a group of voices to best keep the operations of JNS moving forward. 

In the months between, Committee Members may spend some time prepping for fundraisers, specific programming experiences, or ways to best support programming needs. (the commitment is light)
